How much I spent on my trip to Panama and Colombia

I went on my first solo trip to Panama and Colombia and it wasn’t cheap! Solo trips are generally more expensive than group trips and since this was my first solo trip, I didn’t want to do a very budget trip. So here's how I spent my money, let me know how much you think I spent in total in the comments below!

Flights

Panama: I spent CAD$ 796 on my flights to Panama and within Panama. This included 3 flights.

Colombia: I spent CAD$ 1,212 on my flights to Colombia, within Colombia and back to Canada. This included 4 flights.

This brings the total to CAD $ 2,008, which is a great amount for 7 flights!

San Blas Island

Accommodation

I stayed in 7 places across Panama and Colombia!

I stayed at Selina Hostel for the first few days in Panama which cost CAD$ 362 and a lovely Airbnb which cost CAD$ 184. While in Boquete, I had a unique experience of sleeping in a cylinder which cost CAD$ 109 for one night.

In Colombia, I spent CAD$ 655 staying at this lovely Casa, where I got breakfast every day and I got a massage. I also stayed at a beautiful beachfront Airbnb, which cost CAD$ 489.

This brings the total to CAD$ 1,990

Phone plan (Airlo)

I always want to stay connected with my friends and family when I travel abroad, especially on a solo trip. Outside of that, I need a data plan to use Google Maps on my trips and I get this by using Airlo’s E-sims. This cost CAD$ 104 for 2 sims in Panama and Colombia.
